3 DIY Unicorn Room Decor Ideas

I'm going to show you how to make these three DIY unicorn room decor ideas and all of these DIY cute room decor ideas are easy to do and perfect Tumblr DIY room decor or a unicorn inspired room.

Here's the video version:

DIY Unicorn Jar

The first unicorn idea I'm going to show you how to make is a unicorn jar.

What you will need for this idea is a jar, paint, a pencil, a paintbrush, a fake candle, flowers, ice shaped vase fillers of any color, paper or cardstock paper, a glue gun, and scissors.

The first thing you want to do is paint on a face onto the jar with any color of paint.

Then you need to draw out and cut a triangle out of paper or cardstock paper, and paint it any color, which this will be for the unicorns horn, and you will also need to cut out two ears and paint them any color too.

After you got the ears and the unicorns horn cut out, you can glue on the unicorns horn and the ears above the face with a glue gun.

For the flowers you want to cut off part of the stem and you can glue three or more flowers over the unicorn's horn and the ears.

The last thing you have to do is put the ice shaped vase fillers and the fake candle into the jar.

I love how this jar came out. It looks so cute and pretty.

DIY Unicorn Doily Dreamcatcher

The second idea I'm going to show you how to make is a unicorn doily dreamcatcher.

What you will need for this idea is the inner part of a embroidery hoop, a doily, flowers, string, paper or cardstock paper, tape, a pencil, paint, scissors, strands of lace, ribbon or anything that you would like to put on the dreamcatcher, and a glue gun.

The first thing you want to do is to tie half of the doily to the embroidery hoop by threading the string through the holes of the doily around three times this depends on how big your doily and embroidery hoop is.

The reason why you want to tie half of the doily to the hoop because then you'll have an idea what it will look like before you tie on everything else and you also have some extra room for this stuff that you're going to attach the hoop.

Then you want to take a piece of ribbon or string and tie a loop at the top of the embroidery hoop so the dreamcatcher can hang on the wall or a door.

Before you tie the rest of the doily to the embroidery hoop you want to tie anything that you want to the bottom of the embroidery hoop. I decided to tie strands of lace, ribbon and some string with hearts that I cut out of cardstock and taped onto the string.

You can add as much as you want onto the bottom of the embroidery hoop.

Now you can tie the rest of the doily onto the sewing hoop and cut off any extra string, strands of lace, ribbon, or whatever else you want off of the dreamcatcher.

The final things you have to do for this idea is to draw out and cut a unicorns horn and two ears out of paper or cardstock paper, and then you want to paint the unicorns horns and two ears.

Now you want to layout the unicorn horn, the ears, and the flowers to see how you would like it to look like on the dreamcatcher and then you want to glue them on the dreamcatcher with a glue gun.

I just love how cute this turned out and if you want you can make a normal dreamcatcher instead of a doily dreamcatcher.

DIY Unicorn Pillow

The last idea I'm going to show you how to make is a unicorn pillow.

What you will need for this idea is two colors of fabric, scissors, a paintbrush, paint, a pencil, and a glue gun.

The first things you want to do is draw and cut out two squares for the base of the pillow.

You also want to cut out four shapes of ears and two of them we'll make ear. Then you will need to cut out a triangle out of a different color of fabric and this will be the unicorns horn.

After you get the ears cut out you want to glue the edges and the right sides of the fabric together. Don't glue the bottom of the ears because you are going to stuff it later.

Then you want to fold the triangles right sides together and glue the right sides of the triangle together. Don't glue the bottom of the triangle because you are going to stuff it later.

Now you want to flip the ears and the triangle which is the horn inside out. You should be able to see the right sides of the fabric now.

To finish off the ears and the horn you want to stuff them and glue the openings shut.

Now you want to take the squares for the base of your pillow and put the right sides together and pick up the top layer and stick the horn and the ears in the middle of the bottom layer and lay them pointing to the middle like this so they show right when the pillow is flipped inside out.

So now you can glue the ears and horn on the bottom layer of fabric.

After you do that you can glue the two pieces of fabric for the base of the pillow together by putting glue on the edges of the bottom layer of fabric and placing the other layer on top.

Make sure you leave a space for a hole so you can flip it inside out.

Once the glue has dried you flip the pillow inside out and once you have flipped the pillow inside out you want to stuff the pillow.

Once you have stuffed the pillow, you want to glue the opening shut by folding one side of the opening and then you can put glue on the side that's not folded and then you can pull them together.

You do want to hold the opening for a couple of seconds so it doesn't come apart.

Be very careful when you do this part of the pillow because the glue is hot!

The last thing you have to do is draw a face onto the pillow and then you want to paint it any color that you want.
