My introduction to slow living was not
Kinfolk Home, not a visit to Brooklyn,
nor anything gleaned from the internet.
I know slow living
from living slow for years before
I was this plugged-in,
from sweeping our floors in silence,
from meditating and contemplating,
from slow days out in nature, and
from countless calm hours spent reading.
