I woke up on Monday to my husband saying, "Happy first day of Spring!" I had no idea it was already Spring! It just made my day, plus the nice 70 degree weather we have been having. Which has quickly turned to snow as of today, so that feeling was dashed pretty quickly. But, still! It's Spring! All my flowers may die from the freeze, but at least I can plant more :) And, since it's Spring, that means it's that time of year for my Spring home tour! I've partnered with Marty from A Stroll Thru Life and 28 other bloggers to bring you our home tours for the Spring! If you are hopping along the tour and are stopping by from ZDesign At Home, welcome! If you haven't checked out Bree's house, be sure to go there and check it out! You will not be disappointed :)
Here's a little backstory if you are new here. We have lived in our home for 8 years and have grown to love it more and more. We were this close to moving last year and building our dream house, but decided to stay in a home we already love and were hesitant to leave anyway. We are counting our blessings and what has already been given to us. So, that means, a nice little overhaul is soon on it's way! We are in desperate need of new paint, extra bedrooms, and new flooring thanks to our sweet little guy in the picture below.
That's our sweet dog, Max. His days a numbered and all I can do is cry even thinking about it. I have put it off for months and months now, but it's time. We will sure miss him! He's kind of been a staple in my house and tour pictures :) He always seems to find a way in them.
Today, I'll be sharing with you my entryway, front room, and master bedroom all clean and ready for Spring. Clean is the opportune word here :) It doesn't last long with two toddlers running around.
This view has quickly became my favorite in the house. I used to hate this natural wood, but have come to embrace it and love it! It jumps off the white so beautifully. Hopefully by my next tour, that tile and gross carpet will be gone and replaced with hardwood :)
Here's the entry into our front room. These barn doors were a must last year since we changed this room into a guest room also. It offers the perfect amount of function and decor.
This couch actually folds out into a queen bed. It was a great purchase; I got the bed I needed and the white slipcover couch I always wanted :)
I changed up this space a little last month with this cute little DIY blanket ladder. I have a huge obsession with blankets, so I needed another place to display them. Currently, I have like 3 baskets in each room of my house full of them :) Told you. #obsessed
I actually wanted to put some pretty fresh tulips in here, but mine luckily haven't come in yet, and I haven't found many in stores. I did find some, but they quickly started to die. So, instead, I kept up with my go to plants from Ikea.
This mantel hasn't changed much since my Christmas decor came down. This is it's year around look for the most part. When I find something I love, it's hard for me to change it :)
I rarely share this angle of this room, so here it is :)
And here's a good look at most of the room. Don't look to closely at that white rug. People ask all he time, "how do you keep your house so white?" I don't. I really try, but I don't. With a dog that has lost control of his bladder and two toddlers, you can only image the messes I have to clean :) Pictures can hide a lot, thank goodness. lol
And here's my master bedroom. I actually just did a huge transition in this room from queen to a king (you can see the transformation and enter the mattress giveaway here). I've been playing around with some different bedding and adding a taller headboard, so here's some basic ideas I've liked. Don't look at the headboard too closely :) Once again, playing around with ideas lol
I keep contemplating turning that door into a sliding barn door. What do you think?
Having this huge bed has been amazing, but has been interesting playing around with a new look. Still trying out some new things: changing up the headboard or adding to, switching out the bench, changing the rug, bedding, possibly adding board and batten on the empty walls...the list goes on and on. Give me a few months and I'm sure I'll find something I'll stick with for awhile :)

Each room in my house has a special area for pictures. I have a gallery wall for each kid, this happens to be for our eldest. I rarely share this angle of this room, so here it is :)
