DIY Peace Sign Dreamcatcher | DIY Dreamcatcher Tutorial

Today I'm going to show you how to make a peace sign dreamcatcher. This dreamcatcher is really a easy DIY and it shouldn't take you that long to make.

Also this dreamcatcher looks similar to what a normal dreamcatcher looks like just with a different design and I think it turned out looking really cute.

What You Will Need...

What you will need for this DIY is a hoop, yarn, scissors, and lace, ribbon or any other decoration that you want to put on this dreamcatcher.

The first thing you want to do is to tie one end of a long piece of yarn onto the hoop into a knot and then you want to wrap the yarn all the way around the hoop. Make sure to leave a little bit of yarn left from the knot because you are going to use it later.

Once you're done wrapping the yarn around the hoop you want to tie the end of the yarn that you were wrapping with to the to the yarn left from the knot into a knot. Then you want to cut the extra yarn off.

Now you want to take a piece of yarn that's bigger than the hoop and tie one end of the piece of yarn to one side of the hoop and then you want to tie the other end of the piece of yarn to the other side of the hoop. This will be the middle part of the peace sign.

So now you want to take two other pieces of yarn around the same size and you want to tie one of pieces of yarn onto the yarn that's in the middle of the hoop and you want to tie it about into
the middle of the piece of yarn and then you want to tie the other end of the piece of yarn once onto to the hoop. You want to tie it once and not into a knot because you can adjust the yarn later.

You want to repeat the same steps for the other piece of yarn but put it on the other side to create your piece sign.

Make sure you don't tie the two pieces of yarn too tight to the hoop because the middle of the peace sign will start to bend and you only want to tie the yarn once onto the hoop and not into a knot because you can adjust the yarn later.

Before tying the yarn that's on the hoop into knots you can adjust the peace sign to make sure it looks okay and then you can tie the yarn into knots and then you want to cut off the extra yarn.

Now you can take some lace, ribbon, feathers, or any other type decoration that you want put onto the dreamcatcher and tie them onto your hoop.

The way how I attached the lace and the beaded string onto the hoop was by flipping the hoop over so the back is facing upwards. Then I folded the lace in half and then I placed the loop of the lace under the hoop and then I pulled the tails of the lace and the string through the loop and I did the same thing for the beaded string.

You can repeat these steps until you like how it looks or you can just tie on your stuff onto the hoop into a knot and if you need to you can trim off the extra ribbon or whatever you used so it doesn't look uneven while it's hanging up.

The last thing you have to do is to take another piece of yarn and tie it into a loop and tie a knot like how I'm doing here. Then you want to cut off the extra yarn.
