DIY No Sew Tassel Pillow

DIY No Sew Tassel Pillow

I'm going to show you how to make a tassel pillow and this DIY tassel pillow came out looking really cute and it doesn't take you that long to make. This DIY no sew tassel pillow cam have as many tassels as you want and I'll be showing you how to make tassels and how to attach them.

If you don't want to glue this tassel pillow you can sew it instead or you can sew tassels onto a pillow you already own.

Here's the video version of this pillow:

What you will need for this tassel pillow is fabric, two or more colors of thread, scissors, tape, something to wrap your tassel around like a book or a piece of cardboard, a glue gun, and pillow stuffing.

You want to start off by making the tassels.

For the tassels you will need to wrap the thread that you would like to be the main part of the tassel around a book or a piece of cardboard and remember the size of the book or the cardboard is the length of the tassel.

After you wrap the thread, you want to make sure you tie the thread with another piece of thread before cutting the thread at the opposite side of that piece.

I forgot to do this and I wanted to make sure that you remembered in case you end up forgetting about it and you also want to make sure that other piece of thread is not too short. I will explain why later.

Now you want to take another color of a piece of thread and make a loop on top of the tassel and then you want to start wrapping the thread around that tassel and around the part of the loop like this.

So now you want to take the one piece of thread from the loop and the other piece of thread you were wrapping with and tie them once and pull the piece of thread that's part of the loop.

Then you want to tie the pieces of thread in a knot and cut off the extra thread.

To finish off the tassel you want to tape the ends of the bottom of the tassel together and then you want to cut on the tape because this will make the bottom of the tassels even.

You want to make four or more tassels in any color and size that you want.

You want to make two squares or rectangles of the same size out of fabric.

Then you want to take one of the pieces of fabric and lay it on it's back so you can see the front of the fabric and then you want to place the tassels onto the fabric pointing to the middle like this.

Then you want to glue the string that was tied to connect the tassel after cutting them onto the fabric. The reason why you don't want the string to be to short is because you won't be able to see the top part of the tassel that much when the pillow is flipped inside out.

Now you want to grab the other piece of fabric and lay it on top of the other piece of fabric and you want the front sides together.

You want to take the glue gun and lift up the top layer of fabric and start gluing on the edges of the bottom piece of fabric and then you to lay the top piece of fabric to the bottom piece of fabric and press down the pieces of fabric together and then you want make that you leave a hole so you can flip the pillow inside out.

When the glue has dried you can flip the pillow inside out and then you can stuff the pillow.

All you have to do now is to glue the opening shut by folding one side of the hole and gluing it together with the other side of the hole.

Question Time!
