Welcome to part 2 of my Christmas home tour! Only one more left to go next week :) If you missed part 1, you can see it here where I showed off my front room and entryway! Today's tour is part of the Meaningful Holiday Home Tour hosted by Laura from Meaningful Spaces. You all have to check out the rest of tours to get some serious eye candy and inspiration!I only started decorating my bedroom for Christmas a few years ago and it was always an afterthought. Just adding some red pillows and a small Christmas tree on the nightstands, but this year, I kind went all out. As much all out as you can without putting a full blown Christmas tree in the corner. Which trust me, that was going to happen like tonight :) I have the perfect corner for it! I don't know why I didn't think about doing it earlier. I guess there's always next year!
As I mentioned, my bedroom was usually an afterthought, but this year, it was one of the first rooms I decorated. I was actually surprised that my husband didn't say a darn thing about it. He's the one that says that a reindeer dies every time a Christmas song is played before Thanksgiving. I'm sad to say that I killed a lot of reindeer this year.
For the colors, I went with the normal tradition around my house of adding red into the my neutral decor. I just love how it pops off the white :)
This headboard may not last much longer. I keep saying that, but I swear it'll happen soon :) I have envisioned something made of wood and white linen for awhile in here. I even bought the wood already! I just need to make it :)
I grabbed these awesome plaid euro pillows from Target online. I was going to make some new covers, cuz goodness knows I DO NOT need any more pillows. But, laziness won :) These red buffalo check covers are from Amazon.

I also switched my pillows up on the bench. These white Ikea covers are so awesome! I have them all around my house :) And this new tartan pillow cover is so perfect for Christmas!
So, I've been really wanting to add some board and batten or paint the rest of my room white, but I can't get over how much I love how this white door and molding pops against this wall color! I know I'll lose it if I paint everything white so I've been at a weird limbo with my room the past year trying to figure out what to do :)
On this little table, I just added a little potted tree...and let's face it, cleaned the heck off of the counter:) haha. That counts for something, right??
The same with this corner, it's clean! Therefor, worth documenting :)
Since I moved a few things out of my front room for Christmas, I had to find a place to put them, so they ended up in here. I don't hate it! I'm actually kind of sad that the clock and hamper will find their place back in the front room come January.

As for the my nightstands...I found some awesome new cathedral type rod-iron windows from Hobby Lobby. I was looking at doing a mirror in a similar shape, but they are some serious cash. Then I found some on Amazon similar to these and am so glad I didn't buy them! Maybe I'll hang them, maybe I won't.
And, the special surprise in my room is that I actually finished that second nightstand! Seriously, the box for it has been sitting in my garage for almost 3 years. I just never got around to making it. Plus, thinking about cleaning out my husbands nightstand gave me the heebie jeebies :) I know I could have made him do it, but that would probably add another 3 more years. haha
For my bedroom this Christmas, I really wanted to make a sign that went above my bed to tie everything together. It reads "& to all a goodnight". I'll have a tutorial on how I made that next week!
It's amazing what a matching pair of nightstands can do to a space. I'm not usually all for the whole matchy-match thing, but it kind of bugged me in here having the other nightstand be so small and short.
Hope you all enjoyed the tour! Stay tuned for next weeks tour where I unveil my living room, our big Christmas tree, and dining room :) And don't forget to check out the other wonderful bloggers in this week's Meaningful Holiday Home tour! You won't be disappointed :)
